Experience a majestic sunset over Mount Agung in Bali, witness the breathtaking Segara Anak lake, and trek through Lombok's lush tropical rainforest. It is a brilliant alternative to the main summit, offering a less crowded yet highly rewarding trekking experience.

Arrival Day: Welcome to Lombok!

Pick-up Service: We provide a hassle-free private transfer from Lombok International Airport (LOP), Bangsal Harbor, Senggigi, Kuta Lombok, or any other location on Lombok Island.

Transfer & Briefing: You will be driven straight to our comfortable partner hotel in Senaru Village. In the evening, you will meet your professional climbing guide for a safety briefing to ensure you are fully prepared for the trek.

Detailed Trekking Itinerary

Day 1: Senaru Village (601m) ➔ Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m)

  • 06:30 AM Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel to fuel your body for the journey.
  • 07:45 AM Walk for 10 minutes to the Rinjani Trek Center (RTC) in Senaru for official registration.
  • 08:00 AM The trek begins! Hike through a dense tropical rainforest rich in flora, diverse bird species, and colorful butterflies.
  • POS 2 (Montong SATAS - 1,500m): Take a short break here to enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee served with biscuits.
  • POS 3 (Mondokan Lolak - 2,000m): After another 2-hour trek up, we stop at Pos 3 for a delicious, freshly prepared lunch.
  • 01:30 PM Continue the climb for another 2 hours through the transitioning mountain forest up to the crater rim.
  • 04:00 PM Arrive at the Senaru Crater Rim campsite (2,641m). Enjoy an incredible sunset over Mount Agung in Bali, marvel at the smoking Barujari volcano inside the Segara Anak lake, and settle into your tent for dinner under the stars.

Day 2: Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m) ➔ Second Summit (3,126m) ➔ Senaru Village (601m)

  • 04:00 AM Wake up early! After a light pre-trek breakfast of toast and hot drinks, begin the climb to the Senaru Second Summit (3,126m).
  • 06:00 AM Reach the summit just in time for a breathtaking sunrise over Mount Rinjani’s main peak and the sprawling island scenery.
  • 07:30 AM Trek back down to the campsite for a full, warm second breakfast and a well-deserved rest.
  • 09:30 AM Pack up camp and begin the descent back to Senaru Village. Keep an eye out—if you are lucky, you might spot the rare Lombok Black Monkey (Ebony Leaf Monkey).
  • 01:00 PM A fresh, hot lunch will be prepared and served by our porters along the trail.
  • 02:30 PM Arrive back at Senaru Village basecamp. Our private car will be waiting to transport you to your next destination in Lombok (Senggigi, Kuta Lombok, Gili Islands harbor, or Airport).
